Question 1

Why does Windows show a warning?

Accepted Answer

Because Propel is a newer application, Windows SmartScreen may display an alert such as 'Windows protected your PC' or 'Unknown publisher' until publisher reputation is established with Microsoft over time. To install Propel safely: 1. Click 'More info' on the SmartScreen dialog. 2. Click 'Run anyway', if that option is available. 3. Follow the setup instructions on your screen. Always ensure you download Propel exclusively from our official website (usepropel.com). While SmartScreen warnings are standard for newly published software and do not indicate a security issue, the warning itself does not guarantee an app's safety, which is why downloading only from our verified domain is essential.

Question 2

Will I be charged automatically after the trial?

Accepted Answer

No. Propel plans are one-time payments for a fixed term (30 days or 365 days) and do not renew automatically. When you register and verify your email, your account receives a complimentary 7-day PRO trial with no credit card or billing details required. When the trial ends, your account transitions to the FREE plan. You will never be charged automatically, and you only pay if you manually choose to purchase an upgrade.

Question 3

What happens when my plan expires?

Accepted Answer

When your PRO or MAX term concludes, your account seamlessly moves to the FREE plan. Paid capabilities—including automated background scheduler, custom alert thresholds, higher PC Advisor AI monthly quotas (10 or 30 checks/month), and multi-device workstation limits—are paused or revert to FREE limits. All core local features (Deep Cleaner, RAM Optimizer, Focus Mode, Startup Manager, Duplicate Finder, and Live Telemetry) remain fully available. Your local preferences, exclusions, and account profile remain intact on your computer.

Question 4

How many devices can I use?

Accepted Answer

Device allowances are tied to your plan: FREE offers unlimited personal devices under fair use (subject to an automated abuse cap), PRO covers up to 2 active devices, and MAX covers up to 3 active devices. When you sign out of the Propel desktop client on any computer, that device slot is immediately released for another PC. You can also view and revoke registered devices at any time through your web account dashboard.

Question 5

What information does PC Advisor AI send?

Accepted Answer

PC Advisor AI requires your explicit consent via an in-app opt-in screen before it can run. When you initiate an analysis, it sends only aggregate system diagnostic metrics to our secure API and Google Gemini: CPU usage percentage, memory used and total capacity, disk usage percentage, running process count, total cached junk size in bytes, scan status, system health score, and system uptime. Personal files, document contents, file names, and directory paths are never collected or transmitted. AI usage is tracked strictly as a numerical monthly quota count on your account.
